Description
A drained jar of chipotle salsa adds a major flavor boost and keeps lean ground turkey from getting dry. Prepare a spread of toppings and let guests create their own perfect combo. Try it with jalapeno pimento cheese and bacon on top.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces, fluid Chipotle Salsa
- 3 pounds Ground Turkey
- 3 whole Shallots, Chopped
- 2 teaspoons Ground Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
Preparation
Pour salsa into a fine mesh strainer, set over a bowl. Set aside for 20 minutes or more until liquid has been strained. Discard the liquid or save/freeze for something else.
Mix turkey, drained salsa, shallots, cumin, salt and pepper by hand until incorporated and shape into patties: 8 full-sized, or 24 sliders.
Grill over a medium-hot fire until cooked through (timing depends on burger size). Poultry should always be thoroughly cooked.
