Best Whole Grain Waffles

Description

Start your day off right with white whole grain waffles topped with fresh raspberries and dark chocolate!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE WAFFLES:
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1-½ cup Milk
  • 3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 cups White Whole Wheat Flour
  • FOR THE TOPPING:
  • ¼ cups Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 6 ounces, weight Fresh Raspberries

Preparation

In large mixing bowl, add eggs and beat lightly with whisk. Add remaining ingredients except flour and mix with whisk until combined. Add flour and mix into ingredients with rubber spatula.

Spray waffle maker with nonstick spray. Preheat to medium-low heat. Add batter to waffle maker and cook according to manufacturer’s directions.

Heat dark chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl for approximately 40 seconds. Stir to create even consistency. Top waffles with raspberries, and desired amount of dark chocolate. Fill some raspberries with dark chocolate: fill spoon full of melted chocolate and let drip into raspberries.
