Description
Autumn is here and while you might miss the beautiful summer weather, I have to say I welcome the change in season and the flavours it brings.
One of my favourite autumn ingredients is plum, and so I wanted to share a simple warming dessert using only 4 key ingredients to celebrate the autumn season.
Ingredients
- FOR THE CRUMBLE:
- 200 grams Butter, Melted
- 70 grams Sugar
- 300 grams Plain Flour
- FOR THE PLUMS:
- 4 whole Plums, Pit Removed, Cut Into Quarters
- 30 grams Sugar
- ½ cups Water
- ½ Lemon, Zest Only, Optional
Preparation
For the crumble:
Mix butter, sugar and flour until large crumbs form. Empty crumbs onto a baking tray and bake at 170°C (340ºF) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
For the plums:
Place plums, sugar and water in a dish, cover with foil and place in oven at 180°C (355ºF) for 30 minutes or until slightly collapsed.
Spoon plums and juices onto plates, sprinkle crumble over plums, and top with whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
