Description
Soft and chewy orange-scented granola with blueberries and cranberries. A delightful morning begins here!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- ½ cups Wheat Germ
- ½ cups Coarsely Chopped Pecans
- ⅓ cups Chopped Raw Unsalted Cashews
- ¼ cups Almonds, Chopped Or Sliced
- ½ Tablespoons Cinnamon
- 3 dashes Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 2 Tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Water
- 2 teaspoons Orange Extract
- Dried Cranberries And/or Dried Blueberries, As Much As Desired For Serving
Preparation
Preheat oven to 200 F. Combine the first 7 ingredients (oats through salt) in a medium bowl.
In a Pyrex measuring cup, combine oil, honey, brown sugar and water. Microwave for about 30 seconds until warm and you can easily blend the wet ingredients together. Once mixed add the orange extract. Mix into dry ingredients.
Place the mixture on a large rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a thin even layer.
Bake at 200 F for 25 minutes for soft and chewy granola. For crunchy granola, bake this up to 1 hour and 45 minutes. Add dried fruit before eating.
