Description
The melting gooey chocolate and chewy cinnamon spiced oatmeal is irresistible in this twist on a classic cookie.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
- ½ cups Granulated Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2-½ Tablespoons Milk
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1-¾ cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoons Salt
- 2-½ cups Quick Or Old Fashioned Oats
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Beat butter and both sugars in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir this into the wet ingredients. Mix in chocolate chips and oats. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie. Remove from oven. Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute; then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
Yields about 50 cookies.
