Ingredients
- 1 slice Your Favorite Bread
- Butter, For Spreading On Toast
- 1 whole Egg, Separated
- ½ Tablespoons Butter
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
Preparation
Toast bread in a toaster, a toaster oven, etc. When it reaches your desired level of brown, spread it with butter and place on a baking sheet.
Separate egg yolk and white. Whip the white to stiff peaks with a pinch of salt. Mound beaten whites onto the buttered toast and create a small well in the top. Into the well, slip in a small pat of butter and the egg yolk. Bake at 350F until the egg yolk is set, about 10 minutes. Season to taste.
