Fried red snapper recipe

Fried Snapper is one of Panama's most well-known and popular dishes. It is customary in this region to marinate the fish before serving it fried with rice and patacones. You won't want to miss out on this treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole red snapper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1 cup of wheat flour
  • 2 lemons
  • Enough oil for frying

Instructions

    1. Season the fish with salt and pepper after cleaning it. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and cilantro, and season with lemon juice to taste. Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the flavors to mingle.
    2. The fish is then dredged in flour and fried in a large amount of hot oil. Both sides should be brown.
    3. Serve with patacones and lemon slices on the side. Have a delicious meal!
