Description
I love a good granola—one that is sweet and salty, full of nuts and oats and of course, good for you! I’ve tried several recipes and this is one of my favorites. It’s very versatile.
Next time you’re in the mood for a good granola, try this recipe. Keep it in an airtight container in the pantry and add it to your yogurt, on top of ice cream or even in a bowl with milk for your breakfast cereal.
Ingredients
- 4 cups Rolled Oats
- 1 cup Almond Slices
- ½ cups Sunflower Seeds
- ½ cups Walnuts
- 1 cup Unsweetened Coconut
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoons Sea Salt
- ½ cups Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Real Maple Syrup
- ½ cups Honey
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325ºF.
Combine all the dry ingredients (oats through salt) in a bowl and stir.
In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add maple syrup and honey. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add the vanilla and stir.
Add butter mixture into the dry ingredients and combine well. Place granola on a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet. Put it into the oven for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to ensure even browning.
Remove from oven and let it cool on baking sheet (granola will harden as it cools). Break into pieces and store in an airtight container or Ziploc bag.
