Description
In Japan, matcha is used to flavour so many foods, from soft-serve ice cream, Kit Kat bars, and Pocky to Swiss roll cakes and mochi. However, I never had a matcha-flavoured blondie until Rafael whipped some up!
Ingredients
- ½ cups Butter, Softened
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- ¼ teaspoons Salt
- 3 teaspoons Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Flour
- 2 teaspoons (heaping) Matcha
- ½ cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- ¼ cups White Chocolate Chips
- ¼ cups Pecan Pieces
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9” square brownie pan.
3. Melt butter. Add brown sugar to butter and mix.
4. Add egg, salt and vanilla. Mix again.
5. Mix in flour and matcha.
6. Add chocolate chips and pecan pieces and mix.
7. Scrape the blondie mix into pan and bake for 22 minutes.
