So delicious and gives you so much more energy than a lame muffin.
Ingredients
- FOR THE OATMEAL:
- 4 cups Water
- 1 cup Steel Cut (Irish) Oats
- 1 dash Sea Salt
- FOR THE OPTIONAL ADD-INS:
- 3 Tablespoons Grated Carrot
- 2 Tablespoons Raisins
- 3 Tablespoons Chopped Walnuts
- 2 Tablespoons Chopped Apples
- 2 dashes Ground Cinnamon (or To Taste)
- Maple Syrup, To Taste (optional)
Preparation
Bring water to a boil in a medium sized pot. Add steel cut (Irish) oats into the water. Cover the pot and turn off heat.
Go to bed!
When you wake up, the oats will be cooked. Just sprinkle with sea salt, stir, and turn the stove on medium heat for 3-5 minutes to heat up. Top with desired toppings and eat!
Optional: Add shredded carrots, raisins, walnuts, chopped apples, and a wee bit of cinnamon. Sweeten with maple syrup if desired.
