Description
These pancakes are a mixture of everything … they are healthy, hearty, flavorful and delicious! The batter is an easy one to mix up and is a nice change from the everyday pancake.
Ingredients
- 2 whole Eggs, Room Temperature
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- ½ teaspoons Almond Extract
- 1-½ cup Orange Juice
- ¼ cups Vegetable Oil
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoons Salt
Preparation
In a medium-sized bowl beat eggs with extracts. Mix in orange juice and oil; set aside. In a separate larger bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Add liquid mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring just enough to mix.
Heat a griddle over medium heat. Scoop the batter onto the hot skillet, making your desired size pancakes and leaving space in between each. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove cooked pancakes to a plate and finish cooking the rest of the batter.
Enjoy with pure maple syrup and thinly sliced orange slices.
