Description
This trail mix granola topped with a homemade peanut butter sauce is so good, you’ll think it’s candy.
Ingredients
- 6 Tablespoons Butter (or Non-dairy Margarine), Cubed
- ½ cups Brown Sugar
- ½ cups Peanut Butter
- 1-½ cup Oats (gluten Free, If Needed)
- 1 cup Rice Cereal
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips Or M&Ms
- ½ cups Dried Cranberries
- ¼ cups Chopped Walnuts
- ¼ cups Shredded Coconut
Preparation
To make the sauce, combine the butter, brown sugar and peanut butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally until smooth and the mixture reaches a boil. Once it reaches the boiling point, cook for an additional 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat, and let it cool slightly for a few minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, mixing them together with a spatula. Pour the peanut butter sauce over the granola mix, and stir until the granola mix is coated with the peanut butter sauce.
Transfer the granola to a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) before enjoying!
