RIB EYE STEAK WITH ONIONS

The most traditional of steaks, flavored with onions, pairs well with a robust red wine, such as a Chianti or an important Teroldego.

Ingredients

  • 4 ribs of beef
  • 2 large enough onions
  • 30 g of butter
  • 3 cl of olive oil
  • 1 dl of white wine
  • 20 g of flour
  • Salt and Pepper To Taste

Instructions

    1. Place half of the extra virgin olive oil and the butter in a pan over medium heat and, once the butter has melted, add the onion cut into thin slices and brown slowly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    2. When the onions are golden blond, set them aside and brown the floured ribs on both sides in a pan with the remaining butter and oil. Season with salt and pepper, then add the onions and cook for a few minutes more.
    3. Place the ribs on a serving dish and top with the onions.
