I made this cake for my grandmother, and she absolutely loved it! The smell while it’s baking makes it nearly impossible to wait for it to be done I’m going home for the weekend tomorrow, so I decided to surprise my grandmother.

Ingredients

  • 100 g Butter
  • 5 apples Zest and juice of a lemon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 pinch of Vanilla essence
  • 250 g sugar
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1dl milk 50 g raisins
  • 30g roasted pine nuts
  • 1 spoonful of cinnamon coffee
  • 1 spoonful sugar to sprinkle

    4. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Fahrenheit.
    5. Butter and flour a round shape (typically a removable bottom).
    6. Peel the apples, removing the core and cutting to the gums. Drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with lemon zest.
    7. Combine the eggs, vanilla, and sugar in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth. Combine the remaining melted butter, flour, yeast, and milk in a mixing bowl. Combine thoroughly.
    8. Pour one-third of the mixture into the form, followed by a layer of apple, raisins, and pine nuts. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, finishing with an apple and dried fruit layer. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
    9. 55 minutes in the oven Allow to cool for 20 minutes before unforming.
