A cheesy strawberry French toast that is perfect for a quick summer breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 whole Egg White
- 1 Tablespoon Milk, Non-fat
- ¼ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 slices Wheat Bread
- ½ ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Fat Free
- 5 whole Strawberries, Sliced
- Powdered Sugar And Maple Syrup, To Serve
Preparation
In a shallow bowl, add egg white, milk and vanilla extract and mix until combined. Set aside.
On 1 slice of bread, add your cream cheese and top with strawberries. Add other slice of bread on top.
Carefully dip your sandwich into the egg white mixture, then carefully turn the sandwich over to cover the other side with the egg white mixture.
Place sandwich in a skillet and cook until bottom is light brown, then carefully flip the sandwich and cook until bottom is light brown.
Cut in a diagonal, top with powdered sugar and maple syrup. Eat and enjoy!
