Description
This mixed nuts recipe has sweet from natural maple syrup and a nice savory bite from spices.
Ingredients
- ½ teaspoons Chili Powder
- ½ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoons Ground Cumin
- ½ teaspoons Smoked Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- ¼ cups Maple Syrup
- 1 cup Blanched Almonds
- 1 cup Whole Pecans
- 2 cups Walnuts
Preparation
In a small bowl add chili powder, cinnamon, cumin, paprika and salt and mix to combine. Set aside.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and maple syrup. Once butter is melted add the nuts and seasonings and mix until all your nuts are covered. Stirring every 30 seconds or so, cook until nuts are fragrant, for about 6 minutes.
Quickly spread the nuts mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
