Description
The smell the brown butter gives off is so amazing, you’ll want to cook with it all the time! White chocolate chips and cinnamon are added to complement the rich nutty flavor!
Ingredients
- 1-½ cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 5 ounces, weight Unsalted Butter
- 3-⅝ ounces, weight White Chocolate (I Used A Whole White Chocolate Milka Bar)
- 1-½ cup Brown Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325 F. Butter an 8-inch square pan.
In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add cinnamon. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Once butter is melted, turn heat to medium and let the butter continue to cook for about 5 minutes, until foamy and color turns to a rich deep golden brown. Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl. Let it cool for about 15 minutes.
In the meantime, chop your white chocolate into small pieces.
Once butter is cool, transfer to a large bowl and add brown sugar. Mix until incorporated. Add in eggs and vanilla and continue to mix.
Add your flour mixture and mix until just incorporated. Gently fold in white chocolate.
Pour batter into prepared pan and use a spatula to spread evenly.
Bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Remove from oven and place dish on a rack. Let it cool completely before cutting.
