Ingredients

  • Basmati rice - 2 tbsp
  • Large onion-2
  • Tomatoes - 2
  • Biryani Leaf-2
  • Bar - 1
  • Star Anise - 2
  • Cardamom - 3
  • Clove - 4
  • Anise - 1 tbsp Ginger
  • Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  • Green Chili - 2
  • Turmeric powder - half a teaspoon
  • Chili - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt - quarter cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Mint Leaf
  • Coriander
  • Salt

Instructions

    1. In a cooker, heat the oil and ghee and fry the biryani leaf, bark, star anise, cardamom, gram, and anise. Cook the onion, cut lengthwise, until golden brown.
    2. Add the ginger garlic paste and green chilies in between.
    3. Then, add the turmeric powder, chili powder, and garam masala and cook until it turns green. Then add the tomatoes, stir, and cook until tender. When the tomatoes are done, stir in the curd.
    4. Soak basmati rice in water for 30 minutes, then add three and a half teaspoons of water, mint leaves, coriander leaves, salt, cover, and cook over medium heat with a whistle.
