You’re gonna love this rich, moist and indulgent Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake recipe. Made with dark chocolate (not cocoa powder) with a big dollop of smooth peanut butter in the batter!
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
- 1-½ ounce, weight Dark Chocolate, Finely Chopped
- 1 Medium Egg
- 2 Tablespoons Whole Milk
- 3 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 3 Tablespoons Self-Rising Flour
- 2 Tablespoons Smooth Peanut Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Salted Peanuts, Coarsely Chopped (optional)
Preparation
Add butter and chocolate to a mug and microwave in short 20-second bursts until melted. Add egg and milk and beat with a fork until smooth.
Add sugar, salt and flour and beat again until smooth, then gently add the peanut butter to the top of the batter—don’t stir.
Cook in the microwave for 1 minute 40 seconds. If desired, top with the peanuts or with more peanut butter.
