Description
A light simple cocktail packed with good ginger flavor.
Ingredients
- FOR THE GINGER SYRUP:
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 2 Hands Fresh Ginger, Sliced
- 1 pinch Salt
- FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- 1-½ ounce, fluid Vodka
- 1 ounce, fluid Lemon Juice
- 1 ounce, fluid Ginger Syrup (Recipe Included)
Preparation
To make syrup, combine sugar, water, sliced ginger and salt in a pot on medium heat. Stir until the sugar has dissolved; remove from heat. Let pot sit, off heat, for a couple of hours or until completely cool. Strain, pour into a bottle and keep in fridge.
To make the cocktail, add vodka, lemon juice and ginger syrup to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake very well before pouring into a chilled cocktail glass.
