Description
An easy twist on a classic appetizer, but this time these jalapeño poppers are placed in the smoker, elevating the flavors.
Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoons Whipped Cream Cheese
- 3 Tablespoons Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 2 whole Jalapeño Peppers, Stems Removed, Cored
- 2 slices Bacon
Preparation
Mix both cheeses together in a small bowl. Carefully stuff each jalapeño pepper with cheese mixture.
Take a piece of bacon and wrap stuffed jalapeño pepper lengthwise. You could secure with a toothpick if desired (I did not need to do that).
Place in smoker and cook until bacon is slightly crispy.
The end result is awesome. You get a bit of the smokiness, nothing too overpowering, with a slightly crispy bacon exterior and a really tender jalapeño pepper. The creaminess of the cheeses brings it together. I know the next time I get my smoker going, I will be making these again. In my opinion, they were better than the classic jalapeño popper!
