Description
Asian Rice Bowl is quick and easy and has sweet, spicy and pungent Asian flavors that make a great change to the same old ground turkey recipes.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Oil
- 1 cup Frozen Diced Onion, Or 1/2 A Medium Yellow Onion, Diced
- 1 pound Ground Turkey, Chicken Or Beef
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Ginger Or 1 Teaspoon Dried
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
- ⅓ cups Rice Wine, Mirin, Dry White Wine, Vermouth Or 2 Tablespoons Sherry
- 2 teaspoons Chile-garlic Paste
- 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar (optional)
- 1 whole Scallion, Chopped (optional)
- ¼ cups Cilantro, Chopped (optional)
Preparation
Heat oil in 12-inch nonstick pan over medium high heat. Sauté onion, about 5 minutes.
Add ground meat and sauté until cooked through, 7 minutes. Add ginger and garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
Reduce heat to low, add remaining ingredients and stir together until fully incorporated. Add a couple tablespoons chicken broth or water if it seems too dry.
