Description
This salsa is a family favorite and it’s definitely better than any jarred version out there! So simple and quick to put together!
Ingredients
- 3 cans (14 Oz. Size) Petite Diced Tomatoes, Drained
- 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Stewed Tomatoes With Celery, Onion And Bell Pepper
- 1 can (8 Oz. Size) Tomato Sauce
- 1 can (8 Oz. Size) Diced Green Chilies
- 1 whole Green Bell Pepper, Stem And Seeds Removed, Quartered
- 2 cloves Garlic (Large), Peeled
- 4 whole Green Onions, Green And White Part, Thinly Sliced
- 1 bunch Cilantro
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Granulated Sugar
Preparation
In a food processor (or blender) pulse together 2/3 of the petite diced tomatoes, the stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, green chilies, bell pepper, garlic cloves, half of the green onions, the cilantro, salt and sugar. Make sure your bell pepper and garlic are finely chopped. Pour into a large bowl and stir in the remaining petite diced tomatoes and green onions. Serve immediately. Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated. It will last about 2 weeks in the fridge if it’s not already gone by then!
