Description
Quick Mexican pizzas made with ground beef and flour tortillas.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- ½ whole Yellow Onion, Chopped
- 1 jar (16 Oz. Size) Salsa
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- ½ teaspoons Salt
- 6 whole Flour Tortillas (6 Inch Round)
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese (cheddar, Pepper Jack, Monterey Jack)
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 425ºF.
2. Cook beef and onions in a large frying pan over medium heat until meat is lightly browned and crumbled (about 5 minutes).
3. Add salsa, garlic, and salt. Cook until liquid has evaporated, stirring consistently (about 3 – 5 minutes). Use hot salsa for spicier pizzas.
4. Spray the tops and bottoms of tortillas with olive oil cooking spray. Place on a cookie sheet.
5. Spread beef evenly across tortilla and sprinkle cheese on top.
6. Bake pizzas for about 8 – 10 minutes, until bubbly and melted.
7. Cut tortillas into quarters or sixths.
