Description
This is the way my British grandmother and mom made pancakes. And since we are doing breakfasts this month, I thought I’d do a classic British version. Be sure to serve with granulated sugar and sliced lemons and roll them up if you care to!
Ingredients
- 3 whole Eggs, Beaten
- 3 ounces, weight Flour
- 4 ounces, fluid Milk
- 6 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
Preparation
Mix eggs, flour, and milk together.
Heat the pan over medium on your stove. Spray with oil or add a dab of fat. Add ¼ cup of batter (or enough to make a 5” pancake).
Turn the pancake over in about 4 minutes. Cook another 1-2 minutes.
Remove and sprinkle with sugar. Set aside and roll when cooled enough to touch.
Makes 12 pancakes.
