Description
The best from-scratch soft and chewy World’s Greatest Chocolate Chip Cookie is homemade, easy, small batched, perfect, and straight from Grandma.
Ingredients
- ½ cups Butter, Cut Into Tablespoonfuls
- ½ cups Brown Sugar
- 6 Tablespoons White Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1-½ cup Flour
- ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
Preparation
Place butter into a microwave safe bowl. Heat for a few seconds, until about half of the butter is melted and half is still in softened chunks.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Mix to combine.
Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips. Refrigerate cookie dough for 15–30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Using a cookie scoop (I used size #40), place dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 8–10 minutes or until tops are barely golden brown. (I usually bake for 8 to 8 1/2 minutes each batch). Allow cookies to set on pan for 2 minutes and then remove to a cooling rack.
