Description
This is the recipe I make when I have zero time and we need to eat a good meal: my Bolognese Gnocchi Bake! It’s such an easy casserole to whip up on a busy day, complete with vegetables, soft gnocchi and ground beef.
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- ½ teaspoons Salt (or More To Taste)
- 1 Carrot, Peeled And Chopped
- 1 stick Celery, Chopped
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Tomato Sauce
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Diced Tomatoes, Not Drained
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- ½ teaspoons Dried Onion Powder
- ¼ teaspoons Dried Garlic Powder
- 1 package (16 Oz. Size) Gnocchi
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a deep 9×13 inch casserole dish.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and crumbly. Remove to the prepared casserole dish.
Add remaining ingredients, except cheese, to the casserole dish. Stir well, making sure seasoning is well distributed. Check for seasoning, adding more salt as needed. Evenly top with shredded cheese.
Bake casserole in preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until bake is bubbly and cheese has melted. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
