Description
Oh my! It’s fondue that tastes like pizza that tastes like fondue! A must-try.
Ingredients
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- ¼ cups White Wine
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 24 ounces, fluid Marinara Sauce
- 3 cups Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, Grated
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
- FOR DIPPING:
- 1 loaf Italian Bread, Cubed
- Assorted Fresh Veggies, Chopped
Preparation
1. In a medium-sized pot, simmer the garlic and white wine in the olive oil over medium-high heat for 1 minute. Add marinara sauce.
2. Once the mixture starts to boil, reduce heat to medium.
3. Add mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and cornstarch to a Ziploc bag and shake. Add mixture to the marinara sauce, 1/4 at a time.
4. Stir over medium heat until all of the cheese is melted and smooth, about 5 minutes.
5. Stir in the basil.
6. Transfer mixture to fondue pot.
7. Serve with cubed bread and fresh veggies.
Note: For those of you who don’t want to use white wine (or quite frankly don’t happen to have a mere 1/4 cup laying around unused), feel free to either substitute white grape juice or leave this ingredient out of the recipe altogether.
