Description
Breakfast? Lunch? Snack? You pick. These homemade granola bars are great as a breakfast on the run with a banana, in a lunch box or after school with a cold glass of milk. I used raisins and chocolate chips in them but you could swap those for nuts, cranberries or other ingredients of your choice.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Rolled Oats
- ½ cups Wheat Germ
- ¾ cups Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- ½ cups Chocolate Chips
- ½ cups Raisins
- ½ cups Molasses
- ½ cups Vegetable Oil
- 1 whole Beaten Egg
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Mix together all but the last 3 ingredients (molasses through egg). Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the last 3 ingredients. Mix together well with a fork until all is well blended.
Press the mixture into a well greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350 F for 30 minutes. Cut before cooling. I recommend that you cut them into 12 slices (approximately 4.5 x 1.5).
Remove bars from the pan when cooled.
