Ingredients

  • 6 whole Cloves
  • 8 cups Water, Divided
  • 9  Tea Bags (regular Size)
  • ½ cups Orange Juice
  • ½ cups Lemon Juice
  • 1-½ cup White Granulated Sugar

Preparation

To infuse the cloves, combine them with 2 cups of the water in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, remove from heat and let steep for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Bring 2 cups of the remaining water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan. Add the tea bags, cover and remove from heat. Let steep for 5-10 minutes. Remove the tea bags without squeezing them.

Strain the clove water through a fine-mesh strainer into a 2-quart container. Add the steeped tea, orange juice, lemon juice and sugar. Stir or shake until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the remaining 4 cups cold water and shake or stir to combine. Let cool, then chill and serve over ice.
