Description

These are not your average deviled eggs. They are stuffed with sharp cheddar cheese and crispy bacon.

Ingredients

  • 12 whole Eggs
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • 1 Tablespoon Yellow Mustard
  • Paprika, For Serving

Preparation

Put the eggs in a large saucepan, and cover them with cold water. Put them on the stove over high heat, and bring the water to a boil. As soon as the water boils, remove the saucepan from the heat and cover with a lid. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 12 minutes.

While the eggs are hard-boiling, cook the bacon until it is very crispy. Crumble the bacon into small pieces and set aside. When the eggs are done, take them out of the hot water and place in a bowl. Cover the eggs with cold water, so they cool off.

When the eggs are cool, peel them then cut each one in half lengthwise. Next, remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Mix them with the mayonnaise, cheddar cheese and bacon using a fork (so you can mash the yolks). Finally, add the mustard and stir until it’s thoroughly mixed in.

Fill each egg with some of the cheddar bacon yolk mix, and sprinkle with paprika. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve, then enjoy!
