Description
I’ve put together a spicy fajita seasoning that works great for chicken fajitas, even beef or shrimp!
Ingredients
- 2 whole Chicken Breasts
- 1-½ whole Assorted Bell Peppers
- ½ whole Yellow Onion
- 8 whole Flour Tortillas
- FOR THE FAJITA SEASONING:
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
Preparation
Slice chicken lengthwise into 1/2-inch strips. Place in a container and set aside.
Slice bell peppers and onion. Place in a separate container and set aside.
Combine all your fajita seasoning ingredients in a container. With chicken and vegetables in separate containers, add about 2 tablespoons fajita seasoning to each container and mix so that it’s evenly incorporated.
In a skillet or pan heated to about medium heat, add the chicken. Brown for about 3–4 minutes. Add veggies and stir for about another 4 minutes. At this point, taste and see if the seasoning is to your liking. There’s plenty of fajita seasoning left to stir in a little more if you want more spice.
Serve on tortillas with some sour cream or guacamole and enjoy!
