Description

A healthier, baked version of the popular appetizer. Spicy peppers, filled with a seasoned cream cheese mixture and topped with cheese. Then baked until bubbly!

Ingredients

  • 6  Jalapeno Peppers
  • 4 ounces, fluid Cream Cheese, Softened
  • ¼ teaspoons Chili Powder
  • ⅛ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ⅛ teaspoons Onion Powder
  • ½ cups Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

Preparation

Cut jalapenos in half and scrape out seeds and ribs (leave a little of the rib membrane for a spicier popper).

In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese and spices. Spoon cream cheese mixture into each pepper half. Top each pepper with about 1 tablespoon of cheese.

Place peppers in a greased dish and bake at 375ºF for about 25-30 minutes. Cheese should be starting to brown and filling should start to bubble.
