Description

Thick and creamy with a little something special. This is a great hot chocolate that makes everyone’s tummy say yum.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel (3.3 Oz. Tablet) Nestle Abuelita (See Note)
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Half-and-half
  • 1 pinch Cayenne (totally Optional)
  • 1 dash Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream

Preparation

Grate abuelita into a suacepan, keeping 1 teaspoon out to garnish tops. Add milk, half-and-half, and cayenne. Heat, whisking frequently until just before boiling. DO NOT BOIL.

In a bowl, fold cinnamon into whipped cream. Or skip if using the stuff in a can (which is totally okay).

Divide hot chocolate into 4 mugs. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with the reserved grated cocoa (and cinnamon of using the canned option of cream). Sip and smile.

Note: Abuelita can be found in most grocery stores next to the tea, coffee and hot cocoa mixes.
