A fun and unique take on croutons that’s delicious in your favorite soup!
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Butter (I Used Light Butter)
- 2 slices Sourdough Bread (or Your Favorite Kind)
- 2 slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Preparation
Everyone has their favorite grilled cheese recipe and all would be fine for this dish. This recipe is the way I like to prepare my grilled cheese for these croutons.
Butter one side of each of the bread slices and place cheese in between. Place the sandwich on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spray the top with nonstick cooking spray. Bake in a preheated 400ºF oven for 10 minutes, flip, spray the other side and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes. Allow to cool just enough to handle and cut into 1″ cubes.
