Description
This is a great salsa. It’s not too difficult to make and tastes great.
Ingredients
- 8-½ cups Tomatoes, Chopped
- 4 cups Onions, Chopped
- 2 cups Green Pepper, Chopped
- ½ cups Jalapeno, Chopped
- 1 cup Cider Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- ½ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Oregano
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Salt
- 12 ounces, weight Tomato Paste
- 15 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down and let simmer for 3-4 hours or until it reaches your desired thickness.
Fill clean sterile jars with the salsa leaving 1/2 inch head space at the top of the jar. Process according to standard approved safe canning procedures.
Makes about 8 pint jars.
