Fluffy French Toast for Four

Description

My trusty recipe for French toast to feed our family. A dash of cinnamon makes it good!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cups Flour
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 5 whole Eggs
  • 1-½ cup Milk
  • 8 slices Day Old French Bread (or Up To 12 Small Slices)
  • Butter Or Margarine, For Cooking And To Serve

Preparation

Beat or whisk all ingredients (except bread) together until smooth. Heat a skillet on medium. Place a teaspoon of butter or margarine in the skillet. Dip a slice of bread in the batter till saturated, then transfer to the skillet. Cook a few minutes on each side until crispy and cooked through.

Serve with butter and Homemade Pancake Syrup (see my recipe box).
