Description
A really good and simple chili that cooks away in the slow cooker while you are at work. Perfect for winter weather or the big game!
Ingredients
- 1-¼ pound Ground Beef (I Prefer Using Ground Sirloin)
- 1 Red Bell Pepper, Stem And Seeds Removed, Diced
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- ½ Sweet Onion, Diced
- 2 cans (15 Oz. Size) Dark Red Kidney Beans, Rinsed And Drained
- 2 cans (14 1/2 Oz. Size) Diced Tomatoes
- 3 Tablespoons Medium Heat Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
Preparation
Cook ground beef, bell pepper, garlic and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is cooked through. Meanwhile, add beans, tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper into the slow cooker.
Once the beef is cooked, add skillet contents into slow cooker. Mix everything together and cook chili on low for at least 6 hours, 8 or 9 is better. Serve with your favorite toppings.
