Easy salsa, cooked for deeper flavors and blended smooth.
Ingredients
- 1 whole Medium Chopped Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic (or To Taste)
- 28 ounces, fluid Whole Peeled Tomatoes
- ½ cups Chopped Jalapeno ( Leave Seeds For Spicy, Remove For Mild)
- ¼ cups Cilantro
- ½ teaspoons Chili Powder
- ½ teaspoons Cumin
- 1 dash Salt
Preparation
Spray a frying pan with Pam. Fry onion and garlic in pan until brown (3-5 minutes). Add the tomatoes, jalapeno, cilantro, and spices. Let simmer for 20-25 minutes, then put in a blender and blend (exercise caution when blending hot salsa; if you have it, use an immersion blender). Serve with tortilla chips!
