Description
This rustic no-sauce Parmesan and basil beef pasta is super quick and tasty!
Ingredients
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 1 whole Large Onion, Puréed
- 1-½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 16 ounces, weight Dry Linguini Pasta
- 1 can (8 Oz. Size) Tomato Paste
- 1 head Garlic, Peeled And Chopped
- ½ cups Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- ½ cups Basil Leaves, Chopped
Preparation
Boil a large pot of salted water for the pasta.
Combine beef, onion, salt, pepper, and turmeric in a large non-stick pan over high heat. Cook while mixing occasionally.
At this point, go ahead and add the pasta into the pot of boiling water.
After a few minutes, when all the liquid has evaporated from the beef mixture and it starts to sauté, add the tomato paste. Stir to combine and heat the tomato paste. Add the chopped garlic and combine. Sauté for a few minutes making sure not to burn the garlic.
Once pasta has cooked to al dente (refer to your package instructions for al dente cook time), drain it then mix it into the beef mixture and add the Parmesan. Remove from heat and mix. Add basil, give a quick toss and serve. Enjoy!
