Description
A spicy hummus made with roasted red peppers. You might want to go ahead and make a double batch.
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Chickpeas, Drained
- 1 jar Roasted Red Peppers (The Ones I Buy Are 12 Oz Size)
- ¾ Tablespoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 Tablespoons Tahini Paste
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1-½ Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
- ¼ teaspoons Sea Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Cumin
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Preparation
First off, this recipe is going to be spicy! If you don’t like spice, then either cut back or eliminate the red pepper flakes!
Mix all of the ingredients together in the bowl of your food processor and blend very well. Depending on how good your food processor is, this could take a few minutes. If you want the hummus to be thinner, then you can always add a little bit of water (a tablespoon or two). Serve with pita chips or vegetables!
