Cinnamon Cocoa Buttercream Frosting

Great on cupcakes, doughnuts or any dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick Lightly Salted Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Confectioners Sugar (Powdered Sugar)
  • ¼ cups Heavy Cream
  • 3 Tablespoons Ground Cinnamon
  • ⅓ cups Cocoa Powder (I Use Hershey’s Any Will Work)

Preparation

In a mixing bowl add softened butter and confectioners’ sugar and stir with a spatula. Add cream, cinnamon and cocoa powder and finish mixing with a handheld electric mixer on low speed. As you mix, it will become silky and super creamy. If you aren’t using it right away, transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate. Just delicious.

I use this recipe for a very thick layer of frosting on one dozen cupcakes! It would also generously frost a 9″ single cake. If preferred you could pipe some of the frosting into the middle of the cupcakes then use remaining frosting on top of each cupcake. However you use this, I hope you will enjoy!
