Description

Crab (and a a shrimp on top, if you want) with seafood sauce on a toasted baguette. It’s heaven in your mouth.

My daughter and I have to give these away to the neighbours, or we will eat the entire batch. That, and I like sharing things that make people think I’m a genius in the kitchen! If you want to impress someone, these are quick and easy—and addicting!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (250g To 270g Size) Baguette
  • ½ teaspoons Lemon, Rind
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • ¼ cups Sour Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Chives Or Green Onions
  • ½ Tablespoons Parsley
  • 1 dash Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 package (300g Size) Imitation Crab, Cut Into Small Pieces
  • 1 package (225g Size) Cream Cheese
  • ½ cups Seafood Sauce

Preparation

Cut the baguette into 1/2-inch slices and toast on a baking sheet at 425ºF for about 5-7 minutes, until brown. Set aside and let them cool.

Combine lemon rind and juice, sour cream, chives, parsley and salt and pepper (I blend mine in The Bullet). Pour over crab chunks, and get in there and squish it all together with your hands.

Mix cream cheese and seafood sauce together.

Spread each baguette slice generously with the cream cheese seafood spread. It really is the kicker in this dish. Then top with the crab mix.

Note: to really impress, top each one with a shrimp.
