Description

My grandmother has been making this oatmeal for me since I was a kid and it’s one of my favorite morning meals. It’s very creamy, not too sweet, very filling and easy to make. My kids love this!

Ingredients

  • 1-⅔ cup Whole Milk
  • ⅓ cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • ¾ cups Quaker Oats Quick 1-minute Or Quick Cooking Oats
  • ¼ cups Raisins (optional)

Preparation

Combine and stir milk, sugar, cinnamon and salt in a medium sauce pan and bring to a gentle boil (when milk starts steaming a lot) over medium heat. Add the oats and reduce heat to medium-low and stir continuously for 10 –15 minutes. Your oatmeal will become creamy and thicken (the more you let it cook the thicker it gets, so keep an eye on it).

Once it’s done, remove from heat, add raisins and serve immediately.
