Homemade Pancakes

Description

This is how my daddy made pancakes for me and my sister when we were growing up.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Self-Rising Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. (Try even adding a pinch of nutmeg too.) On a slightly hot griddle or pan, add just a touch of oil so pancakes won’t stick. I like to use a 1/4 measuring cup to dip my batter so I can have the same size pancakes. Pour batter onto griddle/pan and wait for a bunch of yummy bubbles to pop up all over the pancakes, then flip and cook until golden brown. Serve with whatever kind of syrup you like (I prefer Hungryjack pancake syrup) and toppings. Enjoy!
