Description
A lesser known Mexican salsa, but with outstanding flavor. I was able to get the dried morita peppers off Amazon.
Ingredients
- 10 Tomatillos, Quartered
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 4 slices White Onion
- 7 Dried Morita Chiles
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Pepper
Preparation
Saute tomatillos for about 4 minutes. Then add garlic and onion slices and saute for 2 minutes. Add morita chiles and continue sautéing for about 4 minutes.
Turn heat off and add water until chiles are covered. Put heat back on and bring to a boil for about 5–7 minutes.
Add everything to a blender. Blend and season with salt and pepper.
