Description

Banana Nut Pancakes are made with real bananas, walnuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Just add to your favorite pancake mix and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Large Bananas
  • 3-½ cups Pancake Mix
  • 3 cups Water
  • 5 Tablespoons Melted Butter, Plus More For Griddle
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Chopped Walnuts
  • Sliced Bananas, Candied Walnuts, And Maple Syrup, To Serve

Preparation

Place bananas in a medium-sized bowl and, using a potato masher, mash bananas.

In a separate bowl, add pancake mix and water, whisk until smooth. Add butter, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, brown sugar, and mashed bananas and whisk until well combined. Fold in the walnuts.

Heat a griddle to 350ºF. Melt a tablespoon of butter and pour pancake batter onto griddle using a 1-cup measuring cup. Cook for 3–5 minutes on one side until craters begin to form. Flip and cook on the other side for and additional 2–3 minutes. Continue until all batter is cooked.

Serve with banana slices, candied walnuts, and maple syrup.
