Caramelised Plum Oatmeal Bowls.
Ingredients
- 2 Plums, Pitted And Sliced
- 1 teaspoon Honey
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 1-½ cup Water
- Ground Cinnamon
Preparation
Place a large nonstick frying pan on medium heat. Arrange plum pieces in the frying pan and drizzle with honey. Stir to coat both sides of the plum slices. Fry plums on both sides until they start to brown and become tender, and honey is caramelising. Take off heat.
Place rolled oats in a large microwave-safe bowl with the water, and microwave on high for 3 minutes. The oats should bubble right up at the end of the cooking time and be really creamy.
Spoon the oatmeal into bowls and arrange the caramelised plums on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon, drizzle with a little more honey if you like, and serve.
Note: This is delicious with Greek yoghurt, or coconut milk for something extra. To serve more people, just double or triple the recipe.
