Description

If these Spicy Mashed Potato donuts don’t amaze you, I am sure nothing else will. If you have leftover mashed potatoes, this is the best way to use them for a tasty appetizer dish. I added tofu to make it more nutritious.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Mashed Potato
  • ½ cups Grated Tofu
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Onions
  • 2 Tablespoons Grated Carrot
  • ½ Tablespoons Paprika Powder
  • ½ Tablespoons Pepper Powder
  • ⅓ Tablespoons Salt
  • ½ cups Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Corn Flour
  • 1 cup Fresh Bread Crumbs
  • Oil, For Frying

Preparation

In a bowl, mix all ingredients (except water, corn flour and bread crumbs) well. Let rest in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Take batter out of refrigerator and make ring donuts (around 6 to 8).

In a small bowl, take water and mix with corn flour to create a slurry. In a flat plate, add bread crumbs. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat for frying the donuts.

Take one donut, dip into the slurry, then coat in bread crumbs. Fry donuts over low heat, flipping once, for 3–5 minutes or until golden brown color.
