Description

These chocolate peanut butter bars are such an easy, fantastic treat! They get slightly crisp on the outside while they stay a little gooey on the inside.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ stick Salted Butter
  • ½ cups Chunky Peanut Butter
  • 1-½ cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF and spray an 8 x 8 dish with cooking spray. Combine butter and chunky peanut butter in a large, microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir together. Microwave another 30 seconds and stir some more. They should be completely melted at this point. Then stir in brown sugar, followed by eggs and vanilla extract. Slowly add flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Finally, fold in chocolate chips.

Spread batter into an even layer in the prepared baking dish and bake for 40–45 minutes. The top should be dry and starting to crisp up around the edges, while the center will still be slightly gooey. Let cool completely, then cut into 16 squares by making 3 equal cuts both vertically and horizontally. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Enjoy!
